Pure Golden Botanicals Opens in West Allis, WI

A new store selling products that contain CBD oil is set to open Saturday in West Allis.

Pure Golden Botanicals plans to open at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23rd at 9100 W. National Ave, West Allis, WI. James Dean, a partner in the business, said the store would sell CBD oil in a variety of forms. The offerings will include products such as capsules, bath bombs and dog treats, he said.

CBD oil, formally called cannabidiol oil, is derived from hemp. According to the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection, industrial hemp contains a THC concentration of 0.3 percent or less when dried.

A Chicago-based research firm called Brightfield Group estimated last year that the CBD market would reach $22 billion by 2022. The state of Wisconsin, including the southeast region, has seen a growing number of retailers enter the market offering CBD products in recent years.

Dean said he and his business partners decided to open Pure Golden Botanicals to offer consumers the help they’re looking for.

“We’ve got a problem in our medical system with opioids, with various addictions and the side effects and everything else that’s going on with opioids,” he said. “This is a natural alternative to pain, inflammation.”

He said the store will focus on high-quality products. The business team asks suppliers to provide lab testing data to demonstrate their products’ quality, he said.

Pure Golden Botanicals welcomes customers to visit with inquiries.

“We know there’s going to be a lot of questions about CBD,” Dean said. “We want to help people avoid confusion, and we want to be a store that they can buy premium-quality CBDs from and get information about how to use it.”
